May Happenings- CCRstudies

We’ve had a busy start to the very month of May here at Coastal Connecticut Research.

MaryLou Gannotti traveled to the MS Dream Center in Cranston, Rhode Island to share information about the INROADS study for MS walking impairment.  We were able to meet a wonderful group of people who meet for support and companionship.  The MS Dream Center is a non-profit organization for people with MS and their care partners to empower them with support, awareness, education and activities.  What a special place!

Diane Palmer, RN, our site administrator, conducted no cost memory screenings during our Mobile Memory Clinic event at the Public Library of New London.  Our memory screenings have proven to be popular with all time slots filled in advance by appointment.  We appreciate providing this service to the community as we participate in Alzheimer’s disease awareness.  It is always a pleasure meeting people from the community.  Many who participated the memory screenings have concerns over family history of memory loss and therefore wish further investigate this resource.  We encourage anyone who is interested in our Mobile Memory Clinics to contact our site at 860-443-4567.

We have more outreach activities planned for the merry month of May and we look forward to meeting people in our region!
