Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month

June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month.  Coastal Connecticut Research in New London has been conducting studies for men and women who have been affected by mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease for the past several years.  We have also been providing no cost memory screenings as a public service to raise awareness of possible memory loss.

June is when the longest day of the year occurs – the summer solstice. To mark “the longest day,” our site has partnered with the New England Cognitive Center (NECC) in New London to present a Mobile Memory Clinic.  No cost memory screenings will be available by appointment on Tuesday, June 18th from 1pm – 3pm at the NECC in New London.  The NECC is a not-for-profit organization which has been nationally recognized for piloting memory programs.  It’s located at 464 Ocean Avenue in New London, above the popular Saeed’s restaurant.

To make you appointment for a no cost memory screening contact MaryLou Gannotti at Coastal Connecticut Research by telephone at (860)443-4567 or by email at
