Mobile Memory Clinic

Coastal Connecticut Research recently partnered with the New England Cognitive Center in New London to conduct a Mobile Memory Clinic to promote Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month.  We had a great response from the community and conducted several no cost memory screenings during this event.  Many thanks to Diane Palmer, RN and Patti Said, Executive Director of the New England Cognitive Center for conducting multiple screenings.

We have found those who attend the Mobile Memory Clinics do so for a variety of reasons.  Some individuals are having “senior moments,” and we are often contacted by a spouse or an adult child who has noticed some changes in language in behavior.  Other individuals who attend our Mobile Memory Clinics have a family history of Alzheimer’s disease and want to take advantage of the no cost screening.  We have also found we are joined by people as young as in their 30’s and 40’s who feel a “check up from the neck up” is an important part of one’s overall health.

Coastal Connecticut Research is an associate member of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.  We have conducted well over 100 no cost memory screenings since the inception of our Mobile Memory Clinics in 2015.
