New 8 Visits CCRStudies

Wednesday, August 6th, 2014

It was an exciting day here at CCRStudies in New London.  Today, New 8 Medical Reporter Jocelyn Maminta and her camera man Keith Porter visited CCRStudies to learn more about the facility and our current Hot Flash trial.  Jocelyn interviewed CCRStudies Medical Director Dr. Robert Spitz and Clinical Research Nurse Jessie Jellison.  We are also grateful to Kim G., one of our many wonderful patients, who spoke about her involvement in a past study. The interview is slated to air Wednesday, August 6th during the 5:30 p.m. telecast.  The profile will also be on the WTNH website for those who cannot catch the interview live.  As Jessie Jellison noted, the study truly is for “the good of the future” of women living with bothersome hot flashes.

Senior Expo Norwich 2

Diane Palmer, RN, CCRC and Site Administrator of CCRStudies along with MaryLou Gannotti, PR and Communications Director, had the pleasure of meeting well over 100 people today at the Southeast Healthy Living Expo.  The event, sponsored by the Senior Resources Agency on Aging along with the Norwich Bulletin, was held at Norwich Technical High School and featured a variety of businesses and non-profit agencies promoting services for seniors.  The CCRStudies booth was a hotbed of activity with men and women eager to learn more about clinical trials on such diseases as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and conditions ranging from hot flashes to an overactive bladder. CCRStudies also had the pleasure of being interviewed live on the air by Stu Breyer of WICH 1310 Personality Radio. Stu asked some engaging questions regarding the clinical trial process and noted he found what CCRStudies does “fascinating.”  Congratulations to our Walmart Gift Card Raffle Winners, Rikki W. of Waterford and Ann C. of Norwich.
