Lyme Disease Study

One of Connecticut’s claims to fame is being the unofficial “birthplace” of Lyme disease.  Lyme disease is the most common tick-borne disease caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi.  A bulls eye rash has been generally accepted as marker of Lyme disease.   Clinical research on Lyme disease may help to someday find a new way of diagnosing the disease.

Interested research volunteers who have demonstrated early Lyme disease symptoms and have received a recent diagnosis of Lyme disease from their health care provider are welcome to speak to a member of the CCRstudies team at (860) 443-4567 to learn more about this clinical research trial.  Those seeking information are also welcome to call.
