Here’s What Volunteers Are Saying…

Tuesday, January 9th, 2018

We are very grateful for all of our research volunteers.  At the conclusion of each study, we ask our volunteers to take the time to fill out a survey and let us know how we’re doing.  We pride ourselves on treating our patients with the highest level of professionalism and respect, all while providing quality study-related health care.

Recently M. of Norwich noted the study she participated in was to her body what “love is to the soul.”  (Wow…her words!)  S. of Mystic described our site as “friendly and comfortable.”  She continued, “I”ll do it again.” D. of North Stonington noted, “It was fascinating to me. I learned a lot.”

Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do.  Thank you to all those who participate in clinical trials at Coastal Connecticut Research. We are most grateful for your time and for your valued feedback!

If you curious about research, or have participated in a trial and want to share your experiences, contact us at (860) 443-4567. You can also email marylou@ccrstudies.com.

Give of Yourself this Holiday Season!

Thursday, December 14th, 2017

Are you feeling a bit overwhelmed and depleted?  Has the tin cup been passed around a little too much this holiday season?  Do you have donor fatigue?  Believe it not, there might be a way you could feel better. How?
VOLUNTEER! Clinical trials are now enrolling at Coastal Connecticut Research in New London.

Studies have shown people who volunteer actually feel better. It creates what is called the “happiness effect.”  During this season of giving, consider sharing your time to help advance medical research.  Volunteer for a clinical research study.  You’ll receive study-related health care at no cost, no cost study medication, and, reimbursement for time and travel is available.  Best of all, by participating in research, you can help to advance knowledge about new ways to treat existing diseases and conditions.

So, instead of just taking out your checkbook and making out yet another donation, add to the warm fuzzy feeling by donating your time to research. Volunteers do make a difference!

Call us today at (860) 443-4567 or email marylou@ccrstudies.com.

Volunteers are Special

Thursday, March 23rd, 2017

We are so grateful to our many study volunteers! These men and women come from diverse backgrounds, but share a desire to help others through research.

As our volunteers complete a study, we ask them to evaluate their experience with us.  It is always heartwarming to see what comments study participants share with us upon their departure.

Recently “J”  from the Connecticut’s Quiet Corner completed a study with us.  According to “J” her overall experience was “outstanding” and she “wants to come back.”  We hope to see “J” again, and remind those who have participated in a study they are welcome to participate in future studies should they meet the criteria.

There is no cost to participate in a clinical research trial and no insurance is needed.  Call a member of the CCRstudies team to learn more at (860) 443-4567.  Your privacy will be respected and your participation will remain confidential.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Become a Research Volunteer!

Thursday, August 4th, 2016

Participation in a clinical research study is completely voluntary. Much like giving blood, those who volunteer for research are looking for a way to help others. In addition, study volunteers are closely monitored for safety by the study nurses and study physicians in order to rule out any underlying conditions that may be causing their symptoms. Study volunteers are thoroughly evaluated. Depending on the study, no cost research tests may include mammograms, pap smears, MRI’s, neurological testing, memory screening and ADHD assessments. Early detection is often the best treatment, and the research team will provide each patient with a thorough evaluation and assessment. Many patients have noted they have had the most thorough checkups of their life while participating in research. On occasion, volunteers will learn of a condition they are living with which previously had gone undetected.

There is no cost to participate as a volunteer in a research study. In addition, there is no cost for the study product, and no insurance is needed. Reimbursement is available for time and travel. Contact a member of the CCRstudies team at (860)443-4567.
