Hey Moms- Participate in Research!

After a busy and fun summer vacation, the kiddos are back in school and you’re wondering what to do!  Have you ever considered becoming a research volunteer?

Coastal Connecticut Research in New London is a dedicated medical research facility in New London specializing in clinical research trials.  There is no cost to participate in a study, no insurance is needed, and all study-related labs, exams and testing is provided at no cost.  In addition, you might just feel really warm and fuzzy inside about becoming a research volunteer and helping to advance discoveries in medicine.

Women ages 18 and above who live with frequent urination and the urgent need to urinate might be eligible to participate in an Overactive Bladder study currently enrolling.  After you’ve put the kids on the bus, give CCRstudies a call to learn more about this study and other enrolling clinical research trials.  (860) 443-4567.

Volunteering and the Happiness Effect

Admit it – at one time or another you may have let out the occasional grown when asked to participate in yet another volunteer activity.  Here’s some good news- volunteering can be good for your health!

According to an article published in US News & World Report, those who volunteer may experience the following:

1. Understanding: the desire to learn new things and acquire knowledge.

2. Esteem enhancement: feeling better about yourself and finding greater stability in life.

3. Personal development: acquiring new skills, testing your capabilities, and stretching yourself.

4. Sense of community: making the world, or your piece of it, better.

5. Humanitarian values: serving and helping others, often with a strong religious component.

Volunteers are needed at Coastal Connecticut Research in New London.  Volunteers help others by participating in clinical research.  There is no cost to participate, no cost for the investigational medication or, if applicable, the investigational device, and all study-related exams, labs and testing are provided at no cost.  No insurance is needed to participate in a clinical trial.
